Nina will be the first woman somm champion of the world 😊❤👍
That price for La Tache really is way too good to be true
Fascinating.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Would be great to see the correct answers in the end
After he done his 1st assignment, Raimond clean up all the messes (helping his server teammates). That is something extra wonderful touch in view of hospitality industry. Also he tried to reduce his pressure by making sounds like whistling a song, etc.. i love that. He showed his character behind the stage. Overall, he deserve this award. ❤
Raimonds is a legend
Would be really great with some commentary
the masks are so cringe lmao. utter absurdity
Interesting program with potential to appeal to a wider audience but needs additional production value and some graphics showing the wines they are assessing so the viewer feels like they are also involved.
You drank Petrus!! haha and I'm glad to see you win Above all, Congratulations to you for loving wine. Raimonds Tomsons!! 축하해요 진심으로!!
Good
Gerard Basset was an outstanding individual and the work of the Gerard Basset Foundation is testament to his legacy
amazing how stressed out they are, I imagine with no audience they'd be so much more natural. I've watched the 2019 and then 2023 only to see Nina runnner-up twice. Heartbreaking as I feel she has an amazing style and confidence
DÉBUT À 40:21
Cheers!
Raimonds had the most accurate guesses but Nina was absolutely charming intelligent and convincing. I hope she'll win next year.
The lady contestant lost because she was mostly incorrect in all rounds. It's a wine contest not a hospitality contest.
What do you mean by "mostly incorrect in all rounds"?
They are really good with their wines and pairings but the thing is that they're not very familliar with how to take care a few tables correctly.
this is pretty funny
Congratulations to the three finalists and the rest who couldn't make it top 3........the stage was big and it's not easy to show case your professionalism if not used to....but all the same 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.......Cheers Romanos
Proud to see my Kazakh friends!
Bonjour. Lors de l'ouverture de la bouteille, l'une des mains doit maintenir le bouchon, selon la technique ASI, "avec le muselet toujours sur le bouchon pour des raisons de sécurité". Attention à la technique effectuée dans la vidéo. Merci
A have a huge respect for these guy and girls. When I get the chance to go to a fancy restaurant and I’m out of my comfort zone regarding wine, the best make you feel welcome and describe wine so it actually tastes better! It’s definitely a skill and an art.
The voice said the cage should stay but the sommelier in this case, she removed the cage, so ?
They incorrectly stated that 1968 was the first Sassicaia vintage. 1968 was the first commercial vintage, 1945 was the first vintage.
Superb event and great competition ! What a moment 🍷
Love this! I’d recommend showing the wine they are describing to show the audience if they are accurate or not. Other than that, love these!
Why was I not aware of this profession??
Don’t come in this profession bro.. you will be f**up.. it’s real politics and bullshit happening here.. Everyone in this profession know about it.. Nobody saying .. that’s all.. Trust me do nothing and stay home but not this bullshit if you have self respect.. Iam still in this field cannot change yet.. Millions of people f***ed my this drama.!!
Espetacular!🍷💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So “decanting” and “aerating” are two completely different processes? I hear people use the words interchangeably, but it seems decanting is the attempt to insure that no sediment leaves the bottle as opposed to just the focus of exposing air to the wine.
Nina(?) Showed much more knowledge and charme. Strange decision
I am very happy that the 2nd runner up is from Hong Kong Mr Reeze Choi. 👍💯 Congratulations to Mr.Choi!👍💯 身為香港人一份子,我很為你驕傲🤗
Not a word to a winner, your class is zero.
Promo'SM 😋
Congratulations to all three finalists. Giving the silver medal to the runner up seemed like an after thought, I felt sorry for her as she was left in the background when the winner was announced. Poor finish and she stood out as the lone woman on a stage dominated by men all clamoring for the limelight.
Congrats and cheers my friend !!
Incredible! What dedication to their craft. He felt those hours paid off when his name was called and he yelled out. Awesome.
We couldn't agree more! Live stream does give the raw emotions! thanks for watching and your interest in sommellerie!
No subtitles? very subpar production considering it’s a "world class" association..
It's a livestream of the final, apologies for not figuring out how to do simultaneous subtitles of a live streaming. If you know how to do this technically, please let us know! Cheers!
@@ASISomms Destroyed in a gentle way, the right way. Cheers!
@@ASISomms I have the same problem. You should upload the video again with at least english subtitles. It is not really difficult, you could figure out alone...
@@ASISomms you also will need high performance server and GPUs, good Internet connection. Basically AWS has options, as well as Google and others
@@StuttiBand yet a year later subtitles or not you’re still ok. Not that big a deal. 😂😂
FIRST! Let's go! I unknowingly drank a bottle of Magnum Opus because it was the only bottle my parents had. I don't think any of us knew it was prized because it was stored in a kitchen cabinet, and I probably drank it from a mug or a cup but definitely not a glass. That bottle label instantly took me back because I remember thinking at the time that the signatures looked fancy, however I cracked it open because wine labels on cheap bottles always seem so random. To bring this story full circle, I was a student at the Robert Mondavi Institute and took intro to winemaking for one of my electives.
Such a great story to tell! Did you guess the wine from the first image then?;)
The best Sommelier was the guy serving and cleaning the tables. LOL
Awesome content! I love these videos of somm contests. May I come forth with a wish. If you may be able to add the wine/beer names, vintage, etc. as the contender is trying them, because it's hard sometimes to hear the wines parameters. It would be helpful for us to go with the flow. Thanks for the great content anyways!
I see that she is wiping the neck of the bottle with her fingers after pouring. Is this acceptable?
The first guy looks like he is reading something on his palm??
Asking som for suggestions on wedding planning? ASISomms wants to enhance more wine consumption to relieve the anxiety and stress of married life. Got it!
what are the anwsers of everything. No you are watching and you don't know if they are doing ok
